Deactivation disconnects an application from a valid user license. Once deactivated, you can reactivate at any time, if you choose. You do not need to uninstall an application from your computer to deactivate it. Uninstalling an application does not necessarily deactivate its license. A single license for Adobe software lets you install an application on two computers—for example, at home and in the office. If you want to install the software on a third computer, first you must deactivate one installation of the application. Activation is the process by which Adobe validates your software license to prevent fraud and abuse of Adobe products and services. Activation involves sending information to Adobe at various times, such as at download, installation, uninstallation, serialization, launch, and during update checks for Adobe software. Adobe may also use this information, alone or in conjunction with other information Adobe may have, to (i) provide you with appropriate license renewal options, and (ii) to help understand Adobe software usage so we may engage and retain our customers. • Unique IDs (generated by Adobe) specific to your machine and to the license you have purchased for the software. The key is identified via one of the several in the car's bodywork and a radio pulse generator in the key housing. Depending on the system, the vehicle is automatically unlocked when a button or sensor on the door handle or trunk release is pressed. Vehicles with a smart-key system fitted have a mechanical backup, usually in the form of a spare key blade supplied with the vehicle. Some manufacturers hide the backup lock behind a cover for styling. A push-button ignition switch in place of the immobilizer on a equipped with the Smart key. Vehicles with a smart-key system can disengage the and activate the without inserting a key in the ignition, provided the driver has the key inside the car. On most vehicles, this is done by pressing a starter button or twisting an ignition switch. When leaving a vehicle that is equipped with a smart-key system, the vehicle is locked by either pressing a button on one of the door handles, touching a capacitive area on a door handle, or by simply walking away from the vehicle. The method of locking varies between models. Some vehicles automatically adjust settings based on the smart key used to unlock the car. Nomenclature [ ]. This section is empty. You can help. (June 2017) Keyless Go [ ] Keyless Go (also: Keyless Entry / Go; Passive Entry / Go) is a generic term for an automotive technology which allows a driver to lock and unlock a vehicle without using the corresponding SmartKey buttons. Once a driver enters a vehicle with an equipped Keyless Go SmartKey or Keyless Go wallet-size card, they have the ability to start and stop the engine, without inserting the SmartKey. ![]() A transponder built within the SmartKey allows the vehicle to identify a driver. An additional safety feature is integrated into the vehicle, making it impossible to lock a SmartKey with Keyless Go inside a vehicle. Hardware blocks on the Keyless Entry/Go ECU The system works by having a series of LF (low frequency 125 kHz) transmitting antennas both inside and outside the vehicle. The external antennas are located in the door handles. When the vehicle is triggered, either by pulling the handle or touching the handle, an LF signal is transmitted from the antennas to the key. The key becomes activated if it is sufficiently close and it transmits its ID back to the vehicle via RF (Radio frequency >300 MHz) to a receiver located in the vehicle. If the key has the correct ID, the PASE module unlocks the vehicle. The hardware blocks of a Keyless Entry / Go ECU are based on its functionality: • transmitting low-frequency LF signals via the 125 kHz power amplifier block • receiving radio frequency RF signals (> 300 MHz) from the built-in receiver block • encrypting and decrypting all relevant data signals (security) • communicating relevant interface signals with other electronic control units • microcontroller Inside Outside detection [ ] The smart key determines if it is inside or outside the vehicle by measuring the strength of the LF fields. In order to start the vehicle, the smart key must be inside the vehicle. System reaction times [ ] The mark of a good passive entry system is that the user never hits the 'wall'. This happens when the user pulls the door handle to its full extent before the door is unlocked. The handle has to be released and pulled again to gain access. Good systems have an override feature that allows the doors to be opened more quickly. Security requirements [ ] It is important that the vehicle can't be started when the user and therefore the smart key is outside the vehicle. This is especially important at fueling stations where the user is very close to the vehicle. The internal LF field is allowed to overshoot by a maximum of 10 cm to help minimise this risk. Maximum overshoot is usually found on the side windows where there is very little attenuation of the signal. Relay Station Attack A second scenario exists under the name 'relay station attack' (RSA). The RSA is based on the idea of reducing the long physical distance between the car and the regular car owner's SmartKey. Two relay stations will be needed for this: The first relay station is located nearby the car and the second is close to the SmartKey. ![]() So on first view, the Keyless Entry / Go ECU and the SmartKey could communicate together. A third person at the car could pull the door handle and the door would open. However, in every Keyless Entry / Go system provisions exist to avoid a successful two-way communication via RSA. Some of the most known are: • measuring time to detect illegal high values • measuring to detect illegal products • measuring of the • measuring the response time of 125 kHz • using a more complex (i.e. ) which can't be demodulated and modulated by a simple relay station Furthermore, Keyless Entry / Go communicates with other Control Units within the same vehicle. Depending on the electric car architecture, the following are some Control Systems that can be enabled or disabled: • ESCL Electric Steering Column Lock • EIS Electronic Ignition Switch • Central door locking system • • (Motor management system) • BCU Body control unit Internal LF field dead spots [ ] Dead spots are a result of the maximum overshoot requirement from above. The power delivered to the internal LF antennas has to be tuned to provide the best performance i.e. Minimum dead spots and maximum average overshoot. Dead spots are usually near the extremities of the vehicle e.g. The rear parcel shelf. Battery Backup [ ] If the battery in the smart key becomes depleted, it is necessary for there to be a backup method of opening and starting the vehicle. Opening is achieved by an emergency (fully mechanical) key blade usually hidden in the smart key. On some cars starting is achieved by a transponder inside the smart key that does not need batteries to work. The user either has to put the key in a slot or hold it near a special area on the cockpit, where there is another LF antenna (transponder coil) hidden behind to compensate for a weakened fob battery. Slots have proven to be problematic, as they can go wrong and the key becomes locked in and cannot be removed. Another problem with the slot is it can't compensate for a fob battery below certain operating threshold. Most smart key batteries are temperature sensitive causing the fob to become intermittent, fully functional, or inoperative all in the same day. Special Cases [ ] A Keyless Entry / Go system should be able to detect and handle most of the following cases: • SmartKey Transponder was forgotten in the rear trunk • More than one SmartKey is present inside the car • SmartKey getting lost during the drive • Smartkey battery low History [ ]. The first Keyless Entry / Go ECU of the MB S-Class car series 1998/99 The system is based on a technology invented by Siemens VDO called PASE: Passive Start and Entry System. It operates in the of radio frequencies. Keyless Entry / Go was introduced first by in the S-Class car series in 1998. Outlook [ ] Today a Keyless Entry / Go system is a state-of-the art technology and still has a lot of potential to optimise. Here are some general trends of the advance (AD) and series development (SD): • SD: reduction of used LF antennas in low-cost compact cars (results in a loss of detection quality) • AD: using electric field antennas instead of magnetic field antennas (cost reduction) • AD: using microwave frequencies (radar) instead of an LF and RF combination (more comfort) • AD: would identify the user and not the SmartKey transponder Effectiveness [ ] A test by revealed that 20 car models with Keyless Go could be entered and driven away without the key. In in 2014, 6,000 cars (about 17 per day) were stolen using keyless entry. See also [ ] • • References [ ]. Although Wnt signaling activation is frequently observed in human breast cancer, mutations in genes encoding intracellular components of the Wnt signaling pathway are rare. We found that the expression of Wnt signaling co-receptor, LRP6, is upregulated in a subset of human breast cancer tissues and cell lines. To examine whether the overexpression of LRP6 in mammary epithelial cells is sufficient to activate Wnt signaling and promote cell proliferation, we generated transgenic mice overexpressing LRP6 in mammary epithelial cells driven by the mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) promoter. We found that mammary glands from MMTV-LRP6 mice exhibit significant Wnt activation evidenced by the translocation of Β-catenin from membrane to cytoplasmic/nuclear fractions. The expression of several Wnt target genes including Axin2, Cyclin D1 and c-Myc was also increased in MMTV-LRP6 mice. More importantly, mammary glands from virgin MMTV-LRP6 mice exhibit significant hyperplasia, a precursor to breast cancer, when compared with wild-type littermate controls. Several matrix metalloproteinases are upregulated in MMTV-LRP6 mice that could contribute to the hyperplasia phenotype. Our results suggest that Wnt signaling activation at the cell-surface receptor level can contribute to breast cancer tumorigenesis. This doesn't happen in the app so I've just set Game of thrones to record on the SD channel in the app but it's coming up with what would be the HD channel number on my box so I have no idea which it will try and record on. The hypothalamus is an essential part of the human brain and is often considered the “control center” for most hormones. Its working relationship with the pituitary gland as well as the affects our nervous systems as well as our endocrine systems. But what does the hypothalamus do exactly? For starters, it plays a part in our calorie intake, weight regulation and body heat. I’m sure you’re starting to get the picture that, even if you weren’t already familiar with hypothalamus function, it clearly is important to human existence. The is located deep within the brain, just above the base of the skull. ![]() Its main general function is to regulate homeostasis of our bodies. In other words, it helps keep the human body in a constant, steady state. For example, the hypothalamus releases hormones that tell the pituitary to release hormones that stimulate the thyroid to release hormones. These hormones enter the bloodstream to boost metabolism within the body where required. The negative feedback loop we spoke of above is how hormones in the. ![]() When the hypothalamus doesn’t function properly, this throws off the functioning of the. But it doesn’t stop there because the pituitary gland controls the adrenal glands, ovaries, testes and thyroid gland. So when hypothalamus function isn’t right, there are a lot of other things affected that are all vital to good health. Recent research even shows that many aspects of aging are controlled by the hypothalamus. Studies give hope to the possibility that we may be able to change signaling within the hypothalamus to slow down the aging process and increase longevity. ( ) Let’s take a look at exactly when and how the hypothalamus can affect our health and how we can naturally boost the function of this underrated gland. Best Natural Ways to Boost Hypothalamus Function 1. Increase Chromium Intake is a trace mineral needed by the body in small amounts for healthy functioning. The hypothalamus is extremely important, a central part of the autonomic nervous system that helps controls body temperature, thirst, hunger, sleep and emotional activity. Studies have linked chromium with healthier hypothalamus function. Eat Healthy Fats In addition to vitex, there are many other natural ways to balance your hormones and achieve better hypothalamus function. Establishing hormonal balance in your body has a direct positive effect on the function of your hypothalamus as well as your pituitary gland. One of the best ways to balance your hormones through your diet is to regularly consume. Cholesterol and other fats play a fundamental part in building cellular membranes and hormones. Certain kinds of fats, including cholesterol, also act like antioxidants and precursors to some important brain-supporting molecules and neurotransmitters. Some of my favorite sources of anti-inflammatory, healthy fats include olive oil, coconut oil, avocados, grass-fed butter and wild-caught salmon. Eating good fats like olive oil supports healthy levels of cholesterol, which is an essential aspect of proper hormone synthesis. Get Enough Sleep and Reduce Stress Sleep is also key to keeping our hormones in check. A, long-term use of corticosteroids and are three of the biggest contributors to high. A report published in the Indian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism states that, “Stress can lead to changes in the serum level of many hormones including glucocorticoids, catecholamines, growth hormone and prolactin.” () Cortisol is a glucocorticoid hormone synthesized from cholesterol by enzymes. At the right levels, it’s helpful, but when you have too much it can cause problems. Since cortisol is regulated by the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis and cortisol is the primary hormone responsible for the stress response, keeping cortisol production at a healthy level through adequate sleep and stress reduction is extremely helpful to the health of your hypothalamus (as well as your pituitary and adrenal glands). Exercise Regularly Moderate exercise on a regular basis is excellent for your hypothalamus as well as your entire body. A number of studies have previously found a gamma-amino- deficiency in the hypothalamus of hypertensive animal subjects. A study published in 2000 looked at the relationship between the hypothalamus, exercise and in animal subjects. In this study, the researchers found that chronic exercise has a positive effect on both gene expression and neuronal activity in the hypothalamus. Not surprisingly, they also found that chronic exercise lowered blood pressure levels in the hypertensive animals. () It appears that exercise not only boosts heart health, but also improves hypothalamus health, and improving both is likely to help lower blood pressure for humans as well as animals. Studies have also found that there are a number of “exercise-induced mechanisms in the hypothalamus” that may contribute healthy metabolic function as well as energy balance. () What Is the Hypothalamus? The hypothalamus is a small structure in your brain that’s about the size of an almond. If you’re familiar with brain anatomy, the hypothalamus is located underneath the thalamus, and it descends from the brain into the pituitary stalk, which connects to your pituitary gland. The hypothalamus coordinates activity of the autonomic nervous system and also plays a significant role in the function of the endocrine system due to its complex relationship with the pituitary gland. The hypothalamus contains specialized nuclei designed to do specific work, such as maintaining many basic physiological functions, including body temperature, blood pressure, fluid and, and the regulation of digestion. If all that sounds too medical or scientific, I can give you a more simple hypothalamus definition: It’s a region of the brain that affects a number of things that are key to human health like thirst, hunger, body temperature, sleep and emotions. How exactly does the hypothalamus function in our bodies? It links our endocrine and nervous systems together, and the pituitary gland (another key regulatory gland) receives signals from the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus and pituitary gland are connected by both nervous and chemical pathways, and the hypothalamus produces and secretes neurotransmitters, neuropeptides along with several neurohormones that affect anterior pituitary gland function. The hypothalamus also produces hormones (anti-diuretic hormone and ) that travel down through the pituitary stalk to the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland, where these hormones are released directly into the bloodstream. Other vital hormones produced in the hypothalamus include corticotropin-releasing hormone,, growth hormone-releasing hormone,, gonadotropin-releasing hormone and thyrotropin-releasing hormone. ( ) The hypothalamus is also vital to proper thyroid function and health. The primary hormones that are produced by the thyroid are called T4 and T3. Their production depends on the hypothalamus accurately sensing the need for more thyroid hormone in the bloodstream and signaling the pituitary gland to then release more. Thyroid-stimulating hormone is normally released by the pituitary gland in response to changing levels of thyroid hormones in the bloodstream, but if you have hypothyroidism or, this system fails. There is either too little T4 being converted to T3, the hypothalamus is not signaling to the pituitary gland properly or the pituitary gland is not releasing enough thyroid-stimulating hormone after it’s signaled to. Overall, the hypothalamus produces hormones that control: ( ) • Body temperature • Heart rate • Hunger • Mood • Release of hormones from many glands, especially the pituitary gland • Sex drive • Sleep • Thirst The hypothalamus also helps regulate appetite and weight, salt and water balance, emotions, growth, child birth, and milk production. As you can tell, the hypothalamus is essential to some truly pivotal life variables and events. Hypothalamus Disorders Surgery, traumatic brain injury, radiation and tumors are the most common causes of hypothalamus malfunction. There are also a number of other possible roots of a hypothalamus disorder, including: () • Malnutrition • Infections and • Head trauma • Bleeding • Eating disorders like anorexia and • Genetic disorders that cause bodily iron buildup How can you know if you have something wrong with your hypothalamus? There are various symptoms depending on the root cause, but some of the most common signs of unhealthy hypothalamus function include a slow heart rate, low body temperature, as well as increased appetite and rapid weight gain. Extreme thirst and frequent urination may also be signs of a hypothalamus problem as well as. Some disorders that are associated with hypothalamus malfunction include, but are not limited to: Obesity Multiple studies have linked hypothalamus malfunction with, an extreme excess of body weight. This isn’t surprising since we know that the hypothalamus plays a huge role in metabolism and energy expenditure. The term “hypothalamic obesity” describes intractable weight gain after damage to the hypothalamus. Unfortunately, hypothalamic obesity can be a complication for some brain tumor survivors, especially if they received their diagnoses as children. An estimated third of all survivors develop severe obesity after diagnosis and treatment. ( ) Adrenal Insufficiency Low adrenal function or adrenal insufficiency is associated with hypothalamus malfunction. The hypothalamus is a part of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis and plays a significant part in. Under ideal circumstances, the hypothalamus sends the pituitary gland “releasing hormones” in order to control sex hormone production, thyroid and adrenal functions. The pituitary gland then has the job of communicating with the adrenal glands, sending it the stimulating hormone called adrenocorticotropin that’s meant to prompt adrenal hormone production. Usually, the adrenals do their job, making proper levels of cortisol and other hormones, and the pituitary gland and hypothalamus get the message — but in people with adrenal insufficiency, all of the communication lines are thrown off. Low adrenal function symptoms may include dizziness or weakness. Cluster Headaches Recent studies have shown that the hypothalamus is stimulated during a. A 2013 study conducted in China detected significant increases of functional correlation to the right hypothalamus in cluster headache patients during acute spontaneous cluster headache “in attack” periods in comparison to those during the “out of attack” periods. Researchers concluded that cluster headache patients have a dysfunction of brain function connectivity, mainly in brain regions that are related to pain processing. () Other health concerns associated with hypothalamic dysfunction include: • Brain tumors • and Hashimoto’s disease • • Gonadal deficiency or secondary failure • deficiency • Hormonal changes affect the hypothalamus, which controls body temperature, and this leads to the common complaint of “hot flashes” reported by women going through. Also, if you’re a woman experiencing infertility, it may be due to, which is related to unhealthy hypothalamus function. Precautions Regarding Hypothalamus Function To determine if you have a problem with your hypothalamus function, your doctor will likely perform a physical examination and ask about your symptoms. Blood or urine tests will also likely be conducted to evaluate your hormone levels. If your doctor determines that you have hormone deficiencies, hormone replacement medication will most likely be recommended. Make sure to educate yourself about the side effects of any medication. Also, make sure to do what you can to. Always use caution when using essential oils, especially if you have sensitive skin. Discontinue use if any negative reactions occur. Always test first in a small area before applying an oil all over the skin to make sure you don’t have any allergic reaction. If you have any ongoing medical condition or are taking medications, consult your doctor before starting any new natural treatments. Final Thoughts on Hypothalamus Function The hypothalamus is a pretty forgotten or unknown gland for most people, but it really is an aspect of our anatomy that plays a major role in our health on a moment-to-moment basis. If the hypothalamus isn’t working properly, there are so many things that can go wrong. Together, hypothalamus function and pituitary function regulate all processes related to our overall survival. Hopefully, having a better understanding of the hypothalamus will help you to see why encouraging the health of this gland can really go a long way to improve your overall health and avoid a lot of serious health problems that can be avoided.
